Us three at the Goose

Well, it's official, Travis and I are old now that our kid brother Chad can come out with us drinking beers. We'd been inviting him out on our (more or less) weekly outings since he turned 21 in January, but up until this evening he'd never managed to make it out. Last night he finally came out with us, and we initiated him to the Goose Hollow Inn (in my old stomping grounds) and had a great time. Yes, that's right, that's three of us V brothers out drinking beers. Look out world! 🙂

Whoa…all “thr33” of you there and nothing exploded? I would have thought your combined V-ness would have caused some kind of imbalance or something.

Hm. How do I complain about not getting invited without sounding like a jerk? 🙂

well, you know how Travis is… never know for sure what’s going on until the day of (or sometimes a few hours before). He called Chad Weds. eve and emailed me mid-day Thurs. Next time I’ll be sure and send you a text. 🙂

This just in: Much of NW Portland was destroyed two nights ago, with the damage appearing to be centered at or near the Goose Hollow Inn. Theories center on there being too much beer sucked down, in too small a space, in too short a time, which cascaded into a violent gravitic episode that consumed half of Northwest Portland.

That Travis…what a punk. It’s not like I work a building or so away from him. I even invited him to a lunch poker game last week! 🙂

I think if I was a few stops past the Goose and got a text from you to meet there, I’d hop off the train and catch the next one going the other way. And wait to explain it to Beck once she finally calls me wondering where I am… 🙂

There are (at least) two things I hate missing the chance to do: one is skiing, and the other is getting a hot turkey sammich and Guinness at the Goose with good people.

There isn’t enough beer in the world for the 3 Vanderzanden boys … I’m frightened … and buying a good supply of it now, while there’s still some left 🙂
