I just learned of a “time capsule” of an apartment in Paris, abandoned by a French socialite in 1942 and left untouched until a couple years ago. The apartment belonged to Marthe de Florian, who paid the rent (despite never returning to the apartment) until her death a couple years ago. Interesting glimpse into the past.
